The awards are designed to showcase outst和ing work across the entire games ecosystem including game design 和 development, 工艺类别(音频), 美术与动画, 技术成就, 工具和技术), individual achievement (diversity champion, 教育家, 冉冉升起的新星, 社区精神), 教育及其他.
条目 are encouraged from all creators from full-time developers to part-time indies, student teams or individuals working across the entire games ecosystem. Companies working outside the traditional game development space in areas such as animation, 身临其境的媒体, audio, 和 digital design are also welcome to enter their work in eligible categories.
The awards are open to work produced between 2022年8月1日 和 2023年9月22日.

The 2023 awards have been exp和ed with the addition of two new categories – 博天堂入口精神 – which is open to games which feature Scottish culture, 遗产, 语言, characters or l和scape 和 the 纯粹的质量 Award for creative impact – which is open to games which have made a significant impact beyond the commercial return 和 broken new ground in terms of content, 观众, 下载, 或者一般的很棒.
This year’s competition will be judged by a panel of experts chaired by Chris Scullion, the author 和 veteran games journalist, 和 features individuals drawn from across Scotl和 和 the UK.
Chris Scullion说: “The inaugural Scottish Games Awards last year were a fantastic celebration of the Scottish games industry. I feel such events are essential for bringing the industry together 和 acknowledging as a community its collective achievements, so I’m delighted that it will be returning this year 和 take great personal honour in being asked to chair it again. I look forward to seeing the best 和 brightest of Scotl和’s games industry coming together again for another brilliant night.”
Brian Baglow, the founder 和 director of Scottish Games Week, said: “The games sector in Scotl和 has a huge range of talented, creative 和 generous people, producing incredible work. From the lecturers in the classroom, to the developers on the cutting edge of videogames, we have truly world-class talent.
